Owner and Service Manager - Dan
Dan has over 30 years of experience riding and working on motorcycles. From dirt bikes, through sport bikes to his final destination of touring bikes, Dan has pretty much seen it or ridden it all. His passion ranges from vintage Vincents through today's GL1800 Goldwings. Visiting the motorcycle mecca of Isle of Man during TT week has always been his favorite trip, but when he's not flying across the Atlantic to check out the latest and fastest on two wheels, you might find him twisting around the Blue Ridge Parkway or participating in a benefit ride for a worthy cause on his 2001 GL1800.
Dan has always been a "gadget" guy, and this carries over into his work. If you are interested in integrating complex systems like GPS, blue tooth, radar detection, communications and stereos, you've got the right man. In addition, Dan believes that enhanced lighting is essential, and can advise you as to what works best for visibility and effect for your particular situation.
In 2006, we became the largest East Coast Dealer / Installation Center for Traxxion Dynamics Suspension systems. Dan installed this system on his GL1800 first before signing up to become a dealer to insure that the system met with his quality and performance standards. It passed the test with flying colors, and he believes that it was one of the best and most noticeable improvements he's made to his bike since he's had it.
Parts Manager - George
George came to Motovation compliments of the U.S. Navy, where he was a Chief Petty Officer. Over the past three years, he has become Motovation's go-to guy for parts and accessories. He also manages our busy service schedule, so if you're in need of an oil change or accessory installation, he's your man. George rides a '96 Triumph Thunderbird.
Mike - Mike joined our staff in 2004, and is a great asset to our team. He is our tire and oil change specialist, as well as being our resident neat-freak. He'll make sure that your bike gets the BEST (previously known as BOM) treatment before leaving the shop. Mike's current love is a 2000 Suzuki TL1000S, affectionately known as "Chelsea".
Jason - Jason has been working for us since 2004, in between juggling a college education (Engineering) and serving as a reservist in the U.S. Army. While we miss him when he's pursuing his life obligations, when he's with us, look for him working on things like carburetors, exhausts, lighting and electrical components. He is the proud owner of a 2000 Yamaha R-1.
Kyle - Kyle started with us part-time in 2006 while he was still in high school. He's graduated from shop cleaner to junior technician, and assists Dan or Mike as needed. He hopes to attend York Technical Institute and receive his motorcycle mechanic certification. He's recently purchased a GSX-R that's in need of some TLC, but hopes to get it going soon.
Greg - Greg is our all-around shop guy. He started hanging around the original shop back in 2003, when he was all of 10 years old. Once he became legal (employable, that is) he made the rounds as shop and showroom clean-up kid, tool organizer, and bike detailer. Once he finally graduates, we look forward to him joining us on a full-time basis. Greg currently owns a dirtbike, but due to some recent mishaps (including a few broken bones) we are currently in the process of replacing it with a Big Wheel.
